Tebow reportedly suffered bruised lung, cartilage tear vs. Pats

Per NFL:

The pain Tim Tebow endured in Saturday’s AFC divisional playoff loss to the New England Patriots was more than emotional.

The Denver Broncos quarterback reportedly suffered multiple injuries after he was hit in the pocket during the third quarter of the 45-10 defeat, ESPN.com reported Wednesday.

Tebow tore cartilage along his rib and bruised a lung while suffering fluid buildup in his pleural cavity, a league source told the site.

Tebow, who was 9-for-26 passing for 136 yards against New England, experienced trouble sleeping over the weekend because of the pain and underwent an MRI on his chest on Monday, followed by rehab this week.

It doesn’t appear Tebow will be down for long. He told The Denver Post on Tuesday that he’s already missing daily practices, not to mention the games.

“I was going crazy (Monday),” he said.
