Browns edge Panthers off last second field goal miss…

Per SBnation:

The Cleveland Browns finally caught a break — but of course it came at the expense of the Carolina Panthers, the league’s most under-the-weather team. Browns kicker Phil Dawson hit a 41-yarder to put Cleveland up by one with about two minutes to go. Carolina drove to the Browns’ 24 with time for one more play. Kicker John Kasay, who had hit three field goals earlier in the day, bounced his 42-yard try off the left upright, and we all feel very bad for the Panthers.

Browns RB Peyton Hillis did his usual box-score scorching thing, putting together 194 yards and three touchdowns. Panthers RBs Jonathan Stewart and Mike Goodson are today’s co-stars, with Goodson scoring Carolina’s only offensive touchdown. Browns QB Jake Delhomme threw two very comforting interceptions.

The 1-9 Panthers continue on to face the Seattle Seahawks, and the 4-7 Browns get the Dolphins in Miami.
